HISTORY

Built in 1896 by Michael Cody, the original Grand Hotel was located close to the West Northam Station, and catered for passengers and railway workers. After the new west Northam railway station was built in 1900, the new Grand Hotel was built opposite, again by Cody, during 1904-05.

It catered for passengers using the eastern railway line and the population that developed around West Northam station following the major expansion of this station in 1897.
